You need a commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading (B/L) issued by the carrier. In addition, you may require a certificate of origin and any necessary health or phytosanitary certificates for regulated or perishable cargo. Clex’s team prepares and submits all required export declarations, customs declarations, and port‐side paperwork to ensure your container moves through loading and discharge without delays.

 Simply share your shipment details—origin port, destination port, type of cargo, dimensions, and weight—via our online quote form or by calling our sales desk. We’ll respond quickly with a competitive rate, estimated sailing dates, and destination‐port instructions. Once you confirm, we book the vessel space, arrange inland pickup (if needed), handle container stuffing/sealing, and manage all port‐side formalities. From there, Clex tracks your shipment until it’s discharged and ready for onward delivery.

  • Full‐Container Load (FCL): You book an entire 20’ or 40’ container exclusively for your cargo—ideal for large or high‐value shipments.

  • Less‐Than‐Container Load (LCL): Your cargo is consolidated with other shippers’ freight in a single container. Rates are based on volume (CBM) or weight (whichever is higher), making it cost‐effective for smaller loads.
    Clex handles container stuffing and de‐stuffing for both services to ensure proper consolidation or dedicated container use.

Sea freight costs depend on:

  1. Container type & size: 20’ vs. 40’ dry containers, reefers, or specialty equipment.

  2. Route & carrier selection: Base rates vary by trade lane (e.g., Mediterranean‐Europe vs. Middle East routes) and shipping line.

  3. Cargo volume & weight: FCL pricing is per container; LCL rates are based on CBM or weight (whichever is higher).

  4. Surcharges & fees: Includes Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF), Terminal Handling Charges (THC), port congestion surcharges, and documentation fees.
